Weiterhin sollen im 2. Schritt zur Telefonkosten-Ersparnis in den Außenstellen Fax-Devices für den regionalen Faxversand installiert werden.

Doch nun Schritt für Schritt die Installation mit allen Erfolgen und Niederschlägen:

• Vorbereitungen des Servers
  • Installation NT4 Server als Mitgliedsserver in Domäne + SP6a und aktueller Security-Patches (Neben der Default-Config habe ich nur SNMP hinzugefügt)
  • Anlegen eines Faxination User-Accounts in der Domäne
    Name = Faxination
    Passwort = gut_merken (läuft nicht ab, kein Wechsel erforderlich)
  • Vergeben der notwendigen Rechte für den Nutzer auf Exchange:
    Es werden Adminrechte auf O=Organisation, OU=Site und CN = Konfiguration benötigt
  • Anmeldung als Nutzer Faxination !! und Installation von Office 97 SP2 für die Konvertierung von Attachments im Office-Format. Es muß die englische Office-Version installiert werden!! Hilfedateien und Dokumentvorlagen sind natürlich unnötiger Ballast. Hilfsprogramme wie der Formeleditor oder Graph sollten aber sein.
  • Installation des Exchange-Admins inkl. Servicepacks. (Wird für Exchange-Integration benötigt)
  • Anlegen Eines Mailkontos für Faxination-Nutzer. Name = FAX-Master
  • Installation eines Exchange-Clients (Outlook). Wird für die Installation der Forms benötigt.
  • Einrichtung eines Exchange-Profiles für Faxination (Ich habs auch Faxination genannt)

  Alle weiteren Vorraussetzungen (ADO, ADSI, VBScript, …) Überprüft und Installiert Faxination wenn sie noch nicht vorhanden sind.

• Installation der Fax-Hardware:
  • Einbau der Gammalink BRI CPI200/CPI400 Karten (Korrekte Einstellung der DIP-Switches für die EA-Adressen notwendig - Unbedingt freie Adressbereiche des Servers Checken)
    Übersicht über die DIP-Konfiguration gibt es hier als PDF.
    Weitere nützliche Links (Treiber, Firmware, Service Packs) zu den Gammalink-Produkten von Dialogic gibt es auf meinen Hardwareseiten.
  • Installation der Gammalink SDK von der mitgelieferten CD. (CD:\DNA3\Setup.exe)

      Die Installation der Gammalink Fax-Software ist nicht notwendig.

  • Konfiguration der Boards über den >Gammalink Fax< Eintrag in der Systemsteuerung
    • Autodetect
    • BRI Configuration: Firmware auswählen
      • net3.0 Firmware für Point to Point Anschlüsse
      • net3.64 für Point to Multipoint-Konfigurationen
    • Speichern der Einstellungen über Save Registry (File gut aufheben, die Konfig wurde bei mir öfters einfach vergessen)

    Die Konfiguration der Einzelnen Channel muß hier nicht bearbeitet werden, das übernimmt später Faxination.

  • Jetzt kann mit dem Gammalink Send Fax Applet schon mal das Senden und Empfangen getestet werden.
  • Zum Schluß nur noch das Gammalink Dienstkonto in der Systemsteuerung unter Dienste auf den Faxination-Account ändern. Richtiges Passwort eingeben!

• Office Dokumente werden nicht konvertiert: "Unsupported attachment filetype detected!"
  Ist der Faxination Conversion Printer korrekt installiert?
  Dieser wird während der Installation nicht angelegt, und muss manuell installiert werden!
• "unsupported attachment filetype" beim Versenden von Schreibgeschützten Word-Dokumenten. - Wurden die Dokumente in Word mit Schreibschutz und Passwort versehen, kann Faxination sie nicht rendern, da beim Öffnen des Dokuments eine Dialogbox hochkommt (sinngemäß: Dokument Schreibgeschützt - möchten Sie Schreibgeschützt öffnen, oder Passwort eingeben), mit der Faxination natürlich nichts anfangen kann.
• DDA-Mappings von Exchange zu Faxination werden nicht wie im Handbuch beschrieben im Connector (Exchange-Admin) sondern im Adress-Manager von Faxination unter dem Menüpunkt <Options - DDA Mappings …> erstellt.

• Fehlermeldungen im Windows Ereignislog:
  • 301 Invalid Sendstatus received
  • 303 Evaluation time expired! Quit%.%.%.
    Your evaluation key is expired. Please contact the Fenestrae Sales Department!
  • 304 System HALTED%. Your server is licensed for %1 lines%. You attached %2 lines of type '%3'%. You are using more channels with Faxination then are allowed. Check the Licenses tool to check the number of available lines. And check in the device configuration if you do not exceed this.
  • 305 The field '%1' requires a subfield value!
  • 306 No recipient found in FMF at index: '%1'
  • 307 Error initializing FMFStore!
  • 309 Error initializing Performance monitoring!
    Faxination cannot initialize the performance monitor settings.
  • 310 Terminated process, execution received time-out
  • 311 Cannot find notification job in queue
  • 312 Filetype:0x%1 not yet implemented!
    A message with a message type is send that is not supported yet.
  • 313 Invalid message type '0x%1' specified, deleting incoming message!
  • 350 Error in allocating memory for scan message routine
  • 500 Error setting message type
  • 501 Error in creating UMR notification
  • 502 Error in adding UMR attachment
  • 503 Error sending notification properties
    Faxination was not able to find the properties necessary for the delivery / non-delivery notification.
  • 504 ECR: error setting properties
    Faxination cannot store the selected property in the Extended Custom Routing folder. Check the rights of the used recipient in the Faxination Exchange Connector | Logging.
  • 505 Error scanning message
    Faxination was not able to scan the incoming message. The SCAN mechanism is only supported for TEXT based messages (SITA, TLX and Mobile).
  • 506 Error in routing incoming message
    Impossible to route the incoming message to the recipient. Check in the address manager if the routing codes are configured the correct way.
  • 507 Error converting to TIFF3 to TIFF4
    Fax message must be the TIFF 3 or TIFF 4 format. Something went wrong with the conversion of the original message to the fax format.
  • 508 Error retrieving object from directory
    The Faxination kernel cannot get properties for the recipients. Probably wrong ADSI and ADO installed.
  • 509 Error adding user to host
    Faxination kernel was not able to send a message to the host. Check first if the host service is configured and the service is running.
  • 510 Error retrieving permissions for object
  • 511 Error getting host name
  • 513 Error reading file
  • 514 Error in queue count
  • 515 Queue: error getting properties
  • 516 Error preparing message for host
  • 517 Error making backup copy of fax
    During the sending and receiving of a fax message Faxination creates a backup of the message. This error means that something went wrong with this system.
  • 518 Error initializing UMR
  • 519 Outbound service routing: error getting route
    Outbound service routing decides which service to use. Probably this service does not exist or is not configured properly.
  • 520 Error bundling message for group transmission
    Faxination was not able to bundle the outgoing message.
  • 521 Queue: error setting status
    The queue mechanism was not able to get the current status of the in or outgoing message.
  • 522 Cannot find 'Flags' in queue!
  • 523 Error copying properties between queue records
  • 524 Error opening queue
    Faxination was not allowed to open the queue. Check the rights of the Faxination account.
  • 525 Missing Faxination Server key from registration database
  • 526 Error checking registry key
    Faxination was not able to check the registry key. Please check if the key exists. (use Regedit).
  • 527 Missing outputdirectorypath in %.ini file
  • 528 Error getting profile string/item
  • 529 Error opening FMF
  • 530 Error creating instance of Fenestrae.FMFStore
  • 531 Error opening directory
  • 532 Error starting performance monitoring
  • 533 Error setting properties of incoming message
    Faxination was not able to get the properties for the incoming message. Probably Faxination account does not have enough rights.
  • 534 Error setting queue properties after invalid attachment
  • 535 Error getting Attachment Type property from body
    It was not possible for Faxination to check the file type of the attachment.
  • 536 Error removing file(s) '%1'%. Error '0x%2'
  • 537 Error copying file '%1' to '%2'%. Error 0x%3
  • 538 Error checking and converting attachment
    It was not possible for Faxination to check the file type of the attachment. It tried to convert it but could not succeed.
  • 539 No attachments allowed for this type of message
    Attachments are not supported for the text based message types (SITA, Telex and Mobile).
  • 540 RegisterServer failed
  • 541 RegisterListen failed
  • 542 Invalid parameters received from device
    The device is sending parameters that the Faxination kernel can not understand.
  • 543 Invalid device version (0x%1) is trying to connect%. Device is rejected! (0x%2).
    This device is not allowed to connect to the current Faxination server.
  • 544 Invalid device initialization request received!
  • 545 Queue error
    Error occurred in the Faxination queue mechanism.
  • 546 Error getting device type
    Faxination kernel was not able to get the device connected.

    It is impossible to stop the device service. This can happen if the device is still busy with sending or receiving a message.
  • 550 Error during generation of delivery report
    During the creating of a delivery notification an error occurred.
  • 551 Telex: error invoking retry
  • 552 Error getting service specific information
  • 554 Error in job from device of type 'Unknown'
    Unknown message is in the Faxination device.
  • 555 Error ungrouping job
  • 556 Error generating non delievery report
    During the creating of a non-delivery notification an error occurred.
  • 557 Error getting device capabilities
  • 558 Error: property Filename is missing
  • 559 Error adding record to queue
    The Faxination kernel cannot add records to the Faxination queue.
  • 560 NA
  • 561 Error putting job
  • 562 Error getting service file type
  • 563 Error getting property
  • 564 Error copying tiff files
    Faxination was not allowed to copy the tiff file (fax message). It will not be able to send/ receive that message.
  • 565 Error setting job's Filename property
  • 566 Error getting number of pages
    Unable to get the number of pages of the fax message.
  • 567 Error getting job
    Faxination was not able to get the job and job description.
  • 568 Host: error getting properties
  • 569 Host: error putting FMF
  • 570 Host: error getting address of originator in job
    The Faxination host was not able to get the address of the originator. Faxination now cannot know where to send the notification.
  • 571 Host unknown!
    A host is trying to connect to the Faxination server. The Faxination kernel does not support this host.
  • 572 Error shutting down host
  • 573 Queue: error getting properties
  • 574 FMF error
    Error occurred in the Fenestrae Mail Format (FMF).
  • 575 Error initializing Number Substitution
    It was not possible to use the number substitution table to convert the numbers for the message.
  • 576 Error in Number Substitution
    Problem occurred in the number substitution table. Check the Fenestrae Server Administrator | Tool | Number Substitution tool.
  • 577 Error concatenating files
  • 578 Error occurred during strip of rtf
  • 579 Error parsing body
  • 580 Exception occurred in creating coversheet
    Faxination was not able to add the coversheet to the outgoing message.
  • 581 Error adding attachment
  • 582 Invalid telex address format
    The telex message that is send does not have a correct address format.
  • 583 Unknown address type: '%1'
  • 584 Unable to initialize logging object. Stop Faxination!
  • 585 Error adding summary text
  • 586 Error printing message
    Faxination cannot print the incoming or outgoing message via the Faxination Printer Host. Please check if the service is running and check if the routing option is pointing to the correct printer queue.
  • 587 Error sending notification
    Problem with sending notification to the originator.
  • 588 Error writing to log
    Faxination cannot write data to the log.
  • 589 Baudot Table: error filling / converting to ASCII
    Telex message use the character set of Baudot. For special characters a conversion text file used. An error occurred during the conversion of the characters.
  • 590 Error sending incoming FMF message
    The Faxination kernel cannot send the Fenestrae Mail Format message to the host.
  • 591 Error sending message with UMR
    The Faxination kernel cannot transmit the Universal Message Routing (UMR) message to the host or other Faxination server.
  • 592 Error creating coversheet
    Faxination was not able to create a coversheet.
  • 593 Error creating coversheet
  • 594 Failed to stop thread(s): %1
    Faxination tried to stop the running threads but failed. Probably threads are busy.
  • 595 Error counting licenses
    The Faxination kernel was not able to count the licenses.
  • 596 ECR: error getting properties
  • 597 Error resetting ECR
  • 598 Error setting FMF store directory
  • 599 No attachments to fax%. Error 0x%1
  • 700 ADO Errors in Queue
    Probably ADO (MDAC) is not installed correctly.
  • 701 Faxination Server reached the maximum number of licenses (%1)%. Currently, you are using %2 licenses%. Contact local dealer for more information.
  • 702 Error sending license warning
    Faxination cannot send a message license warning to the administrator. Not only check if the host services are running but also check the number of licenses.
  • 703 Error getting ShortPathName of '%1' (0x%2)
  • 704 Script error: %1 %2
    Faxination cannot run the necessary script. Check the created script.
  • 705 Device initialization error: %1 %2
  • 706 Job '%1' not routed and set to pause
    Outgoing message cannot be routed to a specific service and is put on pause. Check the outbound service routing tool to

  • 709 Unsupported message type (%1) detected!
    The message that is send from the host has a message type that is not supported in the Faxination kernel. Check the Licenses Tool for the installed Message type key.
